Carnival Weekend Dubsomanic
Greetings all Dubsomaniacs...
Carnival weekend is fast approaching which means the next meeting of Dubsomanic and Sama Roots Sound System is almost upon us!!
Friday Aug 3rd sees Volume Eight of the ongoing roots/dub saga downtown at the Charlotte, Leicester...
Sama Roots bring with them Percydread to bless the mic and Dubsomanic see the welcome return of Urban Vox to warm the people...
Vitamin M will be there to carry you away with her amazing melodies on her trusty melodica..
A massive thanks goes out to all the dubsomaniacs who reached the last dance...the recording of the session sounds wicked...unbelievable considering the wet records and soggy sound system equipment courtesy of the Sheffield floods...The level of calm displayed by The Guardian was admirable, although sound man Waq did "get a bit of a dab on" when the sound cut out across all channels early on!
We also had to get our heads around the fact that we couldn't burn a spliff thanks to smoking ban..
Big up to the fantastic Echo Ranks and silky smooth veteran Percydread.., Props to Vitamin M for melodica as sweet as ever and respect to Imogen for handling the wheels of Sheffied steel....
